Program: School of Art & Design
The School of Art & Design offers four undergraduate programs:
- Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art & Design
- Bachelor of Arts in Art & Design
- Interarts Performance Bachelor of Fine Arts
- Minor in Art and Design
Admission Criteria
- Minimum 2.5 GPA required for consideration. Application to the School of Art & Design is a two-part process:
- Submit an application to the Office Of Undergraduate Admissions.
- Submit a portfolio directly to the School of Art & Design for review. After the Admission's Office reviews academic performance and the School of Art & Design reviews the portfolio, the Admission's Office notifies the student regarding an admission decision.
- Admission to the School of Art & Design requires a minimum of 25 transferable credits.
- Transferrable credits – U of M accepts a maximum of 64 transferrable credits, however studio classes will require a portfolio.
- 2.0 and above grades considered for transfer.

1st and 2nd year Requirements
Upon request at the NMC Records and Registration Office, a statement will be placed on your transcript, "MICHIGAN TRANSFER AGREEMENT (MTA) SATISFIED".
