Career opportunities for math majors are varied. Careers in medicine, law, politics, and business utilize math skills. For students interested in actual science or teaching at the high school or elementary levels, special programs are available.
Admission Criteria
- GPA - 3.3 plus strong high school record if transferring as a sophomore. 3.0 if transferring as a junior.
- 2.0 or better grades required for transfer consideration.
- Credit Accepted — U of M will accept a maximum of 60 semester credits from NMC.
- Students are not required to have all the courses listed on this guide completed prior to admission to U of M. However we would recommend transferring the U of M credits back to NMC to complete an Associate Degree.

Upon request at the NMC Records and Registration Office, a statement will be placed on your transcript, "MICHIGAN TRANSFER AGREEMENT (MTA) SATISFIED".
