
Cheryl Gore Follette
Cheryl Gore Follette was elected to the NMC Board of Trustees in 1992, 1998 and 2004. She has held Board officer positions as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-Chair and Chair.
Follette is a member of the Board’s Fellows Nomination Committee, Policy Committee and the Presidential Performance & Board Self-Evaluation Committee.
Follette earned her Juris Doctorate, With Distinction, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she was Editor-in-Chief of The Law Review. Follette has owned a business for many years, served as a clerk to the Michigan Supreme Court, worked as a juvenile court referee and administrator, and acted as an assistant prosecutor. She was an educator for over a decade, teaching English and journalism at secondary and adult levels. A fourth-generation native of the area, Ms. Follette has been actively involved in the community as a member of Kiwanis, the Economic Club, Zonta International and at the state level as a commissioner to the State Bar.
