Parent Loan for undergraduate student (PLUS)
This is a non-need based creditworthy loan given to parents of dependent college students. The interest rate is fixed and adjusts yearly as of July 1. The annual limit for a PLUS loan is the annual cost of attendance minus any financial aid received by the student. Repayment of both the principle and interest begin 60 days after the last disbursement is issued to the school. The repayment period is between 10 and 25 years depending on amount owed.
