I graduated from the Visual Communications program at NMC! I will miss my third home (the art building) but I will be back! I would like to end up in Chicago one day maybe, right now I am building expirience in graphic design, photography, and film making.

NMC gave me a great education and stepping stone which will last the rest of my life. Transferred to Western Michigan University on an academic scholarship. Received an BBA in Quantitative Financial Analysis from WMU in 2004. Currently work/live downtown Minneapolis, MN for Wells Fargo Trust Operations in the capacity of Investment Operations Specialist, ADR. Plan to pursue a degree in International Business Law from the William Mitchell College of Law.

After I left NMC I went on to graduate from Western Michigan in 1999 with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Sociology. One year later I went back to Western and graduated with my Masters in Public Administration. Currently I am working with State and Local government agencies out of Lansing Michigan.

In 2005 my husband Clayton and I moved to Orange City, Florida where I am the Director of Marketing for LA Weight Loss - Florida Division. I left Traverse City and headed to Marguette. Ended up back in Mt. Pleasant at CMU and now I am back living and working in Traverse City. NMC was a blast and a wonderful first experience away from home. I would like to apologize to anyone who was an East Hall R.A. during my time at NMC. :-) There are many NMC alumni who return to Traverse City because of the great experiences we had here!

Carroll, Robert B. RN, MBA (1983-5)
Employed as a senior healthcare consultant on assignment at General Motors Global Headquarters in the Renaissance Center, Detroit. Conceived, organized, and currently involved in managing the UAW-GM Bone Marrow Donor recuritment campaign, recognized by The Marrow Foundation and the National Marrow Donor Program as the most successful large organization bone marrow donor recuritment drive in their history. Working side-by-side with the UAW, recruited 3,000 UAW-GM employees to join the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry; and, working with the American Red Cross, collected over 1,500 units of blood from UAW-GM employees. Forged an agreement between GM, Ford, Daimler-Chrysler and their UAW counterparts to use Coalition on Donation educational materials to educate the auto industry about the need for organ and tissue donation. Arranged for the auto industry, and specifically, Harry Pearce, GM's Vice-Chairman, and Richard Shoemaker, UAW Vice President for the GM department, to be recognized by U.S. Secretary of Health and HUman Services, Tommy Thompson in Washington DC for our efforts in these areas. Serving on Platform Committees with Ford, Daimler-Chrysler, GM and the UAW advising Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan on certain auto-industry specific health care benefits.

I am currently the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for a three county Health Department here in Michigan. I would love to hear from any of the guys who were on my floor in the "zoo", the criminal justice/sociology crowd, or any of my West Hall friends from 77-79.

Had 4 medical clinics until 2001, when I retired. I now teach medical assisting at Glen Oaks Community College. It is a very small school, but very nice, just like NMC was when I was there. I also work at a garden centre in the summertime.
