Albrecht, Rick (1974-6) — Grand Rapids, MI
B.S. Michigan State University (Psychology); M.A. Michigan State University (Counseling Psychology); M.A. Michigan State University (Sport Psychology); Ph.D. Michigan State University (Sport Psychology). Currently Professor in Movement Science Department at Grand Valley State University.

Baldwin, Robert W. (1975-6) — Flagstaff, AZ
I attended NMC in 1975-76 and transferred to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. I am currently a Purchasing Manager at W. L. Gore and Associates, Medical Products Division, in Flagstaff. I enjoyed my experience at NMC and would like to keep in touch with what's happening at the school.

Beeman, Duane (1974-1976) — Richmond, MI
Graduated University of Michigan in 1979; Detroit College of Law in '82. Practicing law in the Detroit Area. Three kids in college. Great to see names like Dan Witt and Paul Hurley. Still staying in touch with Kim Becker (TC), Doug Nicola,(Ohio) Jim Welsh,(Cadillac) John Warner(Colorado Springs) Tim Holsworth(Green Bay). "Back in the day...."!!!

Bender, Gary L. (1973-1974) — East Lansing, MI
Attorney with the East Lansing, Michigan law firm of Murphy, Brenton & Spagnuolo, P.C. specializing in business transactions, corporate governance, commercial litigation, securities, entertainment and art law. Admitted to practice in Michigan and the District of Columbia since 1980. Also serve as board member of the East Lansing Film Festival board of directors.

Burley, Sherry (1974-6) — Milford, MI
Currently an R.N. in the operating room. Went back to school and graduated with an Assoc. of Science in Nursing in 2002. We have two grown sons, 28 and 22. I have been Married to Dave (NMC grad 1975) for 32 years. We have just completed our "retirement cottage" in the Gaylord area and hope to be retired in 3 more years.

Coss, Jean (Minock) (1971-3) — Ravenna, OH
Bachelor of Science from EMU 1975, US Army 1976 - 1979, Married Michael Coss in 1978 Have been in Ohio since 1984. Currently working at McMaster - Carr Supply Company in Aurora, Ohio. Looking at the NMC website --WOW has NMC grown ! Hope to visit some time and remember all the good ole days.

Craig, Dennis (1976) — Acme, MI
Car Dealer in northern Michigan. I have a son who just finished his first year at NMC. I have great memories of NMC and the instructors who saw more in me than I did. Thanks NMC!

Completed Electronics Program Certificate. Formerly Customer Service Supervisor at Heath Company in Benton Harbor, MI. Formerly Factory Service Supervisor for Zenith Data Systems in St. Joseph, MI. Currently Metrology Technician for American Electric Power at Cook Nuclear Plant in Bridgman, MI.

Dowker, Patricia Thomas (1970-2) — Ann Arbor, MI
Spent the last 25 years in Ann Arbor working as aspecial education teacher. After leaving NMC I attended WMU B.S. in Special Education 1975. Did graduate work at EMU. I also lived and worked outside of Toronto. In the Fall of 2004 I returned to graduate school at Uof M and just graduated in April 2007 with my MSW. I would like to work as a school social worker or in a hospital setting with children. Hoping to move back to Traverse City in the next year. I have 12 year old son and would love to finish raising him in TC

Had 4 medical clinics until 2001, when I retired. I now teach medical assisting at Glen Oaks Community College. It is a very small school, but very nice, just like NMC was when I was there. I also work at a garden centre in the summertime.

Frazier, Patricia A. (Fitzpatrick) (1973-5)— Marquette, MI
I attended NMU from 1973-75 and met lots of great people. After NMU I married and was blessed with four children. My husband Bob and I live in Marquette, Michigan and I will be retiring this year (2005) from my position as Marquette County Probate Register. I have many fond memories of NMU.

Garn, Myk (1972-3)— Georgetown, KY
Currently I'm the Senior Advisor for Distance Education with the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. Enjoy my time back in Traverse City - as often as possible.

Geiger, Marjorie Horn (1977-9)
The medical assistant program was the best start for me. Still working occasionally while chasing my kids from sporting event to sporting event and loving the Great State of Maine!

Graves, Carolyn (Hileman) (1973-5)
Michigan State University 1975-77, BA in Elementary Education. Past 8 years at Child Care Network, 4C. Married to Tim Graves, class of 75 also. 2 boys 13yrs and 10yrs, one playing hockey and the other raising snakes! Would love to hear from other class of 75ers. Made it to NMC's 50th, I miss the art department and the wooden floors of the Admin building!

Greenlaw, Valerie (1972-4) — Delaware, OH
Editor of Nor'wester 1973-74. I married Cameron Wolff in 1975, we have two daughters, Sara and Danielle. I graduated from Wright State University in Dayton in 1982 with Bachelors in English; Ohio State University in 1986 with a Masters in Social Work. I have been in private practice since 1988 providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. Also, I recently received my real estate license. We have lived in the Columbus, Ohio area for 20 years. Eventually, we'll make it back to our hometown of Traverse City! Remember Shadowland and the Tanz?

Halliday, David (Sept. 1972- June 1974) — DeWitt, MI
I have 2 very interesting jobs. I am the commander of the Michigan State Police Precision Driving Unit. We teach officers from around the world how to drive police cars and motorcycles using "high performance driving" techniques. Our unit is very well known for police vehicle testing in law enforcement circles.
My second job is as a state police pilot. I fly both airplanes and helicopters.
I've flown missions protecting several U.S. Presidents, the Super Bowl, and the World Series. Usually it's for "bad guys" or search and rescue type missions.
My son also went to NMC and is now a commercial pilot too.

Kapusta, Jr., Andrew (1971-3) - Clinton Township, MI
After graduating from NMC, I obtained my Bachelor's at Wayne State University. I recently retired from the Macomb County Sheriff's Office as a Road Patrol Sergeant. My daughter will attend Central Michigan University and plans to become a teacher of history, a writer, and travel the world. My wife and I are helping our son prepare for college, and make life choices. After that, it's our time. I enjoyed going to NMC, it was fun, hard work, great friends, and plenty of memories to share.

I attended GLMA and NMC with a reckless attitude...enjoyed 30 years (really!!) in the NMC Tae Kwon Do club. Currently livin' & workin' in TC.

Lazar, James W. & Jean Udell Lazar (1968-71)
I graduated with a degree in Dental Assisting. I met my husband, Jim Lazar, at NMC and we have a son who attends CMU. I also have a BS degree from MSU in Family Community Services and I am current substitute teaching for Ingham County schools. Would love hearing from old friends.

Liljestrand, Timothy C. (1967-8 and 1978-9)
Just a note to say that for more than 22 years I have enjoyed employment as an Electronics Technician and Certified Bioengineering Technician. I believe that my education received from NMC was certainly a contributing factor. I am retired now and am ready to go back to school at NMC as I will be moving back home soon and I did retire a little too early. Am looking forward to hearing from and getting to know again those with whom I attended classes.

Lundquist, Gary R. (1973-5) — Iowa City, IA
After graduation I married Barb Bowman (75 NMC Grad) I worked for the USGS working on water quality studies. After barb graduated from the U of Iowa in computer science we moved to WI for 6 years; I was a sales rep.; she worked as a programmer. We then moved back to Iowa city where I bought the family business and Barb got a programming job with the university. We have 3 kids. Oldest is Steph is a ISU grad married to Andy live in SC, middle kid is a Fire fighter here and and a college student. Youngest is still in HS and has many interest. My fondest memories at NMC were Print making classes under Jack Ozegovic. Meeting fun folks including my roomate Bob Eastment whom I sadly have lost track of. And of coarse meeting Barb. Milstein, Randall L. (1976)
After an art degree (photo) from NMC, I went on to earn a BS, MA, and Phd in earth science. Worked a decade for the Michigan DNR Geological Survey Division, then made the jump to academia. I currently teach at Oregon State University. My research field is large asteroids, etc. crashing into Earth causing global catastrophes. In my spare time I participate in endurance sports and specialize in photographing dancers and dance performances.

A of S in Aviation; married Dennis Nugent, have three kids, currently a court reporter for 46th Circuit Court in northern Michigan.

O'Connor Nugent, Maureen (1974-1977) — Gaylord, MI
Retired after 15 years as a court reporter to open a small yarn shop. Developed a passionate attachment to most things fiber-related, including knitting and spinning. Reay, Patrick (1973-5) — Shorewood, WI
Graduated from NMC in 77 then on to NMU where I graduated with BS in Marketing in 1977. A sales vice president with AT&T's Enterprise Business Division, I reside in Milwaukee and have two sons, Michael (26) of Denver by way of MSU and Scott, currently a student at NMC.

Reid, Michael D. (1977-9) — Troy, MI
After graduating from Traverse City Central (TCHS), I attended NMC from 77'-79' earning an AA degree. I obtained a BSBA from Central Michigan University in 81', and then an MBA from Michigan State University in 83'. I joined DaimlerChrysler (Chrysler Corp.) in 1983 and am currently the Procurement Manager for Seating Systems in Auburn Hills, MI. My wife, Kathy and I have two children and currently reside in Troy, MI. We get back to TC often and have a cottage on Old Mission Peninsula.

Enjoyed NMC in early 70s. Learned cross country skiing with Mr. Biak. Was editor of the Nor'wester in 1971. Now living in Metro Detroit area and working for the Detroit News.

"Presently married with two kids and four grandkids. Still working for Ameritech and looking forward to the day I do not need to. We do stained glass work also, with some of our work is in a church in Pontiac. Sorry to all that I have lost contact with and I hope you are happy and well."

Graduated from CMU with Bachelors in Business Adminsitration. Certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), I serve on local and state boards for the Society of Huamn Resource Management (SHRM). I am married with 2 kids and live in East Lansing. I work as the Benefits and Insurance Adminsitrator for Ingham County.

Spent the last 25 years in Ann Arbor, working as a special education teacher. Returned to U of M to pursue an MSW which I will have in April 2007...Hoping to move back to Traverse City in the next year.

Trupiano, Steve (1977-1979) — Mablehead, MA
Currently living in a small coastal town north of Boston and working as in independent engineer for a pharmaceutical company in the area. Looking back on the great times that were had while at NMC and what an incredible experience it was, it has been hard to match since. Still keeping in touch with my old NMC roommates, but would love to hear from others from back in the day.

After graduation received a B.S in Aviation from Indiana State University. Did 6 years in the Air Force on C-130's. Instructor on C-130's in Little Rock, AR. Had various jobs as a Flight Instructor. Still flying but mostly for fun. Love to hear from all the people from NMC 1975-78. Paul Hurley, Martha Trudeau and others.

Witt, Daniel (1974-7) — Flagstaff, AZ
I think I was one of the first guys from my school to go deep sea in 1977. My 3 a/e license issue port was Saint Ignius, Michigan and what laughs I took from those salts!! Still sailing with AMO deep sea, wish I would of joined the union earlier. I have wondrous memories of GLMA and Traverse City. I live in Flagstaff, AZ.

Wright, Charles S. (1973-81)
Commander Cody once opined the lyrics, "aint no such thing as too much fun." Obviously he did not attend NMC. Oddly enough, after leaving home and NMC, it only took a year and a half to complete my Bachelor's at WMU. Currently stuck in Southfield writing advertising copy, I visit Mom and Dad, as well as the campus as often as possible. It sure doesn't look like the little college that I went to anymore.
