Designed for young people ages 14-16 with an interest in aviation, this action-oriented program hosted by the NMC Aviation Program provides a hands-on opportunity to explore the world of flight.
Aircraft flight training (minimum of 5 flights recommended), 5 flight ride-alongs with current NMC instructor/student flight lessons, 5 boot-camp ground school trainings, 5 field trips, Frasca flight simulator time, and extensive materials make up the program which covers a time period of approximately 12-18 months.
The flexible model allows you to structure the length of the program based on your schedule. Ground classes and field trips are scheduled monthly throughout the year on Saturdays from 9-11 a.m. Individual flight lessons and ride-alongs are scheduled separately. The price includes everything except the 5 individual flight lessons which are scheduled and paid for when making arrangements (following at least one ground lesson).
Students may be enrolled in the program at any time. Please call Kelly King at 231-995-1220 to arrange an orientation. NMC Aviation has been training professional pilots and community aviation enthusiasts for over 35 years. It maintains a fleet of state-of-the-art Cessna aircraft, FAA-approved flight simulators, and high-tech classroom facilities.
