In addition to the finalist status of the national Bellwether Award, the program was

  • Selected by the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce as one of 16 recipients of the 2003 Outstanding Educator Award in the Grand Traverse region. The award cited the program's service to help adult students access and succeed in college.
  • Selected by the Three Generations Circle of Women Givers Foundation who has given the Bridge Program scholarship money each year for students who attain a 3.5 GPA or above. These awards are called Circle Scholarships and the students are called Circle Scholars because they show commitment and promise to their educations and community. The Foundation has cited the Bridge Program's "outstanding commitment to make a long-term impact on the community's quality of life," as a measure of the award.
