Business Academic Area
Welcome to our Web site! We hope that you find the site informative and interesting. If you have any questions, please ask and we'll be glad to respond.
The Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) have accredited our Business Administration and Computer Information Systems A.A.S. programs since 1992. We are one of only seven Michigan community colleges that has received this distinction. This accreditation attests to a high level of quality in education for business, enhances transferability of courses, and assures employers of more highly skilled graduates. Also, the American Culinary Federation Education Institute Accrediting Commission (ACF) accredits our Culinary Arts Program. Students who wish to enter the job market upon graduation from NMC generally earn an Associate in Applied Science degree or a Certificate of Achievement. Business students who plan to transfer to four-year institutions to pursue a bachelor's degree should refer to the degree requirements for the Associate in Science and Arts degree because this degree may be more appropriate for transfer. During their first semester at NMC, all students should consult a counselor or academic advisor for scheduling assistance. Here is a list of our degrees and certificates:
