I started working for NMC's Great Lakes Culinary Institute as the Purchasing and Receiving Technician in the Fall of 2003. My career started at an early age in the dish room of a local restaurant. I have experienced everything in the kitchen from dishwashing to preparing meals for as many as 2,000 guests. My last tour of duty in the kitchen landed me a position as the Saucier of the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa. After a couple of years at that position, I became their Assistant Director of Purchasing and have been buying with other peoples' money ever since.
In the Spring of 2004, I became a graduate of NMC with an Associate in Business Administration. My education will not end due to my strong desire to be the first person with 10 Associate degrees. I hear that when one receives that many Associates, they also receive a free set of steak knives.
When not at work, I enjoy spending quality time with my son, Drew. And, hunting season is an utmost important time around my household while I chase that elusive 30 pointer. I also have a strong passion for playing billiards and always welcome a challenge.
