After earning Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech, I held technical and management positions working for Hewlett-Packard, Merix, IBM, and Displaytech. Throughout the 20+ years in these Colorado high-tech companies, I regularly sought opportunities to learn and to apply new concepts and new approaches. The desire to teach shared by many ancestors and relatives took hold and I joined the NMC faculty in 2002.
Currently I teach CIS courses in programming, database, network, and computer hardware topics. Continuous change in information technology and in academic delivery techniques drive my interest and keep me challenged.
A variety of hobbies include woodworking, music, reading, construction, electronics, process modeling and running. I enjoy finding new areas of expression, and I hope to grow a bit by turning digital photography into a full-fledged hobby soon.
