During my tenure at NMC, I have had numerous opportunities to engage in professional development activities that directly apply to my courses. I have traveled to Europe, Asia, and South Africa and have had the good fortune to lecture, meet, and dialogue with business professionals, educators, and students from other cultures who give concrete meaning to cultural diversity and intercultural communications. Since 1989, I have coordinated NMC’s International Work Experience program and supervised over 100 American and German students.

Courses that I teach have a common theme in that they are designed to prepare students for future success in the workplace. The marketplace requires that we reconstruct what we have learned and relate it to what we must do; it is my personal philosophy that instruction must always move in the same meaningful direction.
