Chef Lucy House C.C.E. has been an instructor at Northwestern Michigan College since 1993. She is an honors graduate from Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon. Chef House has worked as the Executive Chef at Crystal Downs Country Club, and several Northern Michigan Restaurants.
Chef House is also the President of the local chapter of the American Culinary Federation. The American Culinary Federation Educational Institute has granted accreditation to the Culinary Program at Northwestern Michigan College. In addition to achieving certification as a Certified Culinary Educator and Certified Executive Chef in 2003, House has also been awarded the Chef of the Year award for her dedication to the industry and education. In 1996 Chef House received the NISOD award for teaching excellence and continues to devote herself and her time to culinary awareness and advancement for students and industry professionals.
