Hi, my name is Scott Goethals. I recently joined NMC and MTEC after working in the CIS industry for 15 years. I have been a programmer, supported both software and hardware systems, and designed and implemented many networks. My specialty is networks and network operating systems.

I have an Associated Degree from Ferris University in Industrial Electronics, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. I have recently started working on my Master degree in Career and Technical Education program at Ferris University.

I teach several of the introductory and networking classes. Fifty percent of my time is spent teaching courses that are being delivered at MTEC. I teach courses in both the traditional classroom format as well as the OPEN/ONLINE format.

I have lived in Northern Michigan all of my life, and have three children. I enjoy fishing, hunting, and going to Indy car races.
