Employer Services

Northwestern Michigan College provides a variety of services specifically for employers. These services include the following:

• No charge posting of employment vacancies on NMC’s Internet job listings at www.nmc.edu/careers/employment/positions.html
  An automated form for posting is available at www.nmc.edu/careers/employers/job-form.html
• Inform faculty and staff members of employment opportunities in related academic areas as a means as reaching specifically qualified students and graduates.
• Provide laid-off and terminated employees one-on-one assistance to find new employment and career opportunities. If you are contemplating a layoff or termination of an employee(s), NMC can assist by providing employment and re-careering information and assistance to minimize the amount of time the employer is without work.
• Assist, guide, coach and/or mentor clients through an effective job search.
• Administer assessments to individuals and groups of employees (call to see if fee is required) to assess an employee's interests and assist them in making career, occupation and academic decisions.
• Assist clients with the NMC enrollment process, financial aid, academic advising and related activities associated with educational pursuits.
• Advise employees and employers on available professional development training and courses at NMC.
• Provide employers with salary information using NMC graduate surveys and local, state, and national data.
• Proctor assessments given by other organizations.
