student academic record management and for daily operations in the Office
of the Registrar. UDM, a Catholic university in the Jesuit and Mercy traditions,
provides excellent student-centered education in an urban context. UDM
is a comprehensive institution of approximately 3400 undergraduates, 1400
graduate students, and 1100 in dental and law school. The University offers
over 100 academic programs in nine colleges and schools, including architecture,
engineering, health professions and liberal arts.
The candidate should have knowledge of the processes and procedures associated
with an Office of the Registrar. Two or more years using SunGard Banner
Student is required as well as other experience with computers, scanning
hardware and various software programs used in an Office of the Registrar
environment.
The Associate Registrar trains, supervises and evaluates two full-time
staff, one part-time staff and up to six student employees as is primarily
responsible for additions, deletions to the permanent academic record.
The Associate Registrar works closely with the college/school offices
as it relates to the management of student records.
This individual will play an important role for the Office of the Registrar

Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent graduate level coursework required.

The Michigan Department of Agriculture, on behalf of the Alpena Conservation
District, is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Conservationist
to work with livestock producers in Michigan’s northeast Lower Peninsula.
The position is grant funded.
Responsibilities: The Wildlife Risk Assessment and Mitigation Project
is being developed to assist Michigan farmers with reducing the risks
of Bovine Tuberculosis (TB) spreading from wildlife to livestock in the
northeast Lower Peninsula of Michigan. The Conservationist will work individually
with livestock producers to provide access to educational, technical,
and financial assistance using on-farm assessment tools and risk mitigation
plans.
As the first point of contact with producers, the Conservationist will
assist in the planning and implementation of risk reduction practices
in the service area and other counties as directed. This is a field work
based position. The work environment is predominantly outdoors, in all
seasons.
The Conservationist will work cooperatively with a variety of conservation
partners, including the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Wildlife Services,
Michigan Department of Agriculture, and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation
Service (NRCS).
The work will be performed under the supervision of the Alpena Conservation
District Board of Directors and Administrator, and monitored by the Michigan
Department of Agriculture.
Education: The applicant must possess a four-year agriculture- or natural
resources-related degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Farm background/experience helpful.
Location: The individual will be employed by the Alpena Conservation
District and report to the workstation in Alpena, Michigan. Assignments
will cover a multi-county area.

Two years experience in information technology. Working knowledge of relational
databases, client-server concepts, MS Office, SQL and PC hardware and
software. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Excellent oral
and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with
others.
Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement,
all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but
qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent
by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
Salary up to the low $50s. Compensation commensurate with education and
