CIE Philosophy

With the focus of the CIE Advisory Board on faculty professional development, faculty recognition, and student learning, the academic culture at NMC is changing

• from a culture focused primarily on teaching and teachers...to one focused on learning and learners;
• from a culture of generalized expectations...to a culture of assessment and definition;
• from a culture of lecture...to one of innovative approaches to teaching/learning.

The ever changing needs of learners and faculty on NMC's campus is the collective and individual commitment of this cross-disciplinary committee of faculty members.
