Funding for Interdisciplinary
or Discipline-Specific
Curriculum/Instructional Development Initiatives
- Funds will be distributed judiciously across the various academic areas.
- Requests for stipends to offset the cost of instructional innovation will be at the rate of 1/20 of the current pay for one hour of overload per hour worked on the project (example: at $600 per contact hour overload rate, the instructor would earn 1/20 of $600 or $30 per hour worked on the instructional innovation project).
- Requests must be submitted on a CIE Curriculum/Instructional Development Funding Request form (online at Shared/CIE/Public/$CUR-DEV.REQ) with all supporting documents by the first of the month for review at a subsequent CIE Board meeting. Forms may also be found in academic offices, CIE office, or Academic Leadership Guide.
- All fund recipients are required to submit a short, written summary of the activity to the CIE Board. The purpose of this requirement is to inform other faculty of any new technology, processes, procedures, techniques or information. In this manner, all of our colleagues and the College can benefit from each grant.
