GPA Calculator

Numerical Grades

The following scale represents the numerical grades students will receive in each class taken:

  • 4.0 - Outstanding
  • 3.5 - Excellent
  • 3.0 - Good
  • 2.5 - Above Average
  • 2.0 - Average
  • 1.5 - Below Average
  • 1.0 - Deficient
  • 0.0 - Failure

Starting off on the right foot is important because grades remain on the transcript forever.

In addition to the individual grade received in each course, students will receive a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) that represents all courses taken.

GPA CALCULATOR

Semester GPA: In order to see your Semester GPA, fill in the No. of Credits field and the Grade field with your information for each class and click on "Calculate Semester GPA" button.

Cumulative GPA: In order to see how your Cumulative GPA would be effected by subsequent class grades, you will need to refer to your transcript. Put the Ghr: (total hours attempted) in the first No. of credits field. Put the cumulative GPA: in the first Grade field. Then follow the above instructions for putting grades in for current classes.

Repeats: However, this process will not work to determine how a repeat of a class will change your GPA , as the old grade will not be removed by the calculator. Further mathematical manipulation is necessary.
