Personal Counseling

Personal CounselingPersonal Counseling for NMC Students — Individual counseling is provided to assist student clients with the resolution of issues/crisis that may impact academic performance or personal well being. Such areas may include family and social relationship concerns; depression; stress management; anger management; loss of a significant person; substance abuse; and crisis intervention. The counselors provide short term counseling as well as referral services. Personal counseling is not done on-line - only in an office appointment.

Traumatic events in a person's life may result in reactions that are hard to cope with. The links below may offer guidance to persons having a reaction to such a traumatic incident.

Personal Counseling for Non-Students — NMC Counselors only make personal counseling appointments with current students. If you are a non-student in Grand Traverse County and need immediate assistance or wish to arrange for personal counseling, call Community Mental Health Emergency Services at: 231-922-4850.
