• These are shortened web addresses that automatically send end users to the actual location of a page that may have a [much] longer, actual address, e.g., if you send someone an e-mail with www.nmc.edu/give in the body, they can go to that address and automatically be forwarded to the actual address, www.nmc.edu/about/foundation/give-now; the same applies for print publications;
• Whereever multiple shortcuts are provided for one actual location, please use the shortcut in bold, e.g., www.nmc.edu/bridge-program
• If a listed shortcut is not bolded, we'd rather you did not use it; however, know that it will work;
• For the sake of consistency, a dash ("-") should be used between terms, e.g., www.nmc.edu/human-resources
