Northwestern Michigan Children’s Choir
2008–2009 (Grades 2–9)

The Northwestern Michigan Children’s Choir teaches children in grades 2–9 the love of great music through artistic performance. Participation in the choir is open to all and is a full-school-year commitment, with choral performances presented throughout the academic year.

Students audition in private by singing the first verse of America The Beautiful with accompaniment.

Auditions for this fall’s choir will be held Wed. & Thurs., Sept. 8 and 9 starting at 6 p.m. For more information, or to reserve a five-minute audition, call NMC Extended Educational Services at 995-1700.

A parent meeting will be held Tues., Sept. 15, 7-8 p.m. in NMC’s Milliken Auditorium.

Limited financial aid is available; applications may be obtained at the EES office.

Treble Choir (Grades 2–4)    
This choir is designed to encourage children in grades 2–3 to sing together in a group, to develop their singing voices, and to enhance their love of singing. Students may register without auditioning, but it is suggested that parents call 995-1700 for a choir information packet first.
