Beginning Computers
If you are an absolute beginner, this hands-on class takes the mystery out of computers and explores common jargon, computer hardware, and the most popular software packages. Learn how to use the mouse, when to left or right click, the difference between the I-beam and insertion point, and the function of the keyboard. You’ll be introduced to basic Windows computer operations; word processing basics like manipulating text, cut, paste, and copy; and how to save your work using Microsoft Word. Gain the knowledge, practice, and confidence to grow your computer skills.

Introduction to Computers and Windows XP
Designed for beginners, this course leads you through basic computer skills. You’ll learn your way around the computer, its components, keyboard, and mouse operations. Become familiar with the desktop, icons, and menu system. Learn to adjust settings, create files and folders, and use shortcuts. You’ll also be introduced to a variety of accessories. This course, or equivalent knowledge, is needed for all other computer courses.
