Summer Skies: A Stellar Performance
What could be more inspiring than a starry sky on a clear summer night! Learn your way around the skies with an introductory experience to the constellations, planets, and moons that dazzle summer evenings. Perhaps a chance to see a meteor is in your stars! Telescopes and other viewing devices at Rogers Observatory will be provided but bring binoculars if you have them. Weather permitting, both nights include class time and guided observation.

Welcome to the Universe!
(For an adult and child age 10+)
Discover the Universe in 120 minutes! (And remember a special night forever.) Spend a late evening with a young person at NMC's Rogers Observatory guided by astronomer Michael Foerster, a NASA Ambassador for the Jet Propulsion Lab. Learn your way around the Universe, find constellations, use simple star charts, and even observe through the college's big telescope! From nearby Luna, to the planets, to distant places in space where stars are even now being born—there is so much to discover! Cost includes an adult and young person as well as course materials (supplemental materials will be available for purchase, if desired). You may register an additional young person for $19.
