The Birth of Christianity
As practiced today, Christianity is the result of both early formation and many years of practices. The early church was influenced by its position in history and the social and political pressures of its day. Early church fathers (and mothers) have left many writings that give us insight into the conversations that took place surrounding the foundation of this remarkable institution. Documents contemporary with the New Testament but not included in the Bible are fascinating and informative and broaden our understanding of what the earliest church was discussing. Handouts will be included and resources recommended.
