Ways
to register for Extended
Education courses:
In Person - EES Office Hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. We are located
at NMC's University Center Campus (Cass Road between 14th Street and
South Airport Road).
By Mail - Mail

You will be contacted only if a course is filled or canceled.
By Telephone - With a MasterCard, VISA, or Discover card,
you can register by calling (231) 995-1700 or
toll-free 1-800-748-0566 (ext. 1700).
By Fax - Fax registration
form to: (231) 995-1708 any time, day or night.
You will be contacted only if a course is filled or canceled.
Include the following
information on all registration requests: your name, address, telephone
number, date of birth, and the code number and name of the course you
wish to participate in.

Will I Receive a Receipt?
If you would like a receipt, just ask for one. Otherwise, mark your calendar with the date/time/location of your class.

Refund
Policies:
1. If a course is canceled,
you will receive a 100% refund.
2. If you must cancel your enrollment in a course, a full refund is available by contacting the EES office (995-1700) three business days prior to your class start date.
3. For courses with seven or more sessions, you may receive a 50% refund of the tuition portion of the cost if you drop prior to the second session.
4. If you are unable to attend a course and have missed the refund deadline, it may be possible to apply the tuition toward the next offering of the same course (some limitations apply), by calling the EES office within one week of the start of the missed course.
5. Joint offering courses (academic courses taken as noncredit) are subject to academic refund policies.
6. Phone your withdrawal from a course to the NMC-EES office (995-1700). The refund amount is determined by the date the request is received.

Late
registration:
Nothing kills a good course more quickly than waiting until the
last minute to register. Please register at least one business day prior
to the start date. Your early registration is always appreciated!

Cost:
The cost is listed with each course. The full amount is due at registration.
Material, lab, and processing fees are usually included in the cost
unless otherwise noted. Financial aid is available for some courses.
Some courses require textbooks,
it is a separate cost unless otherwise noted.
Most books are available at the NMC Bookstore on Main Campus (lower level of West Hall), 995-1285.

Joint Offerings:
Some credit courses are joint offerings, i.e., noncredit and credit students enroll in the same course. Noncredit students are not required to take tests or exams, and don't receive grades or academic credit. Call 995-1700 for joint offering refund policies; rainchecks are not available.
