Video Distribution is a campus-wide, closed-circuit video distribution system
which allows faculty to present digital video, videotape, film, satellite
programming and other media formats directly in the classroom without the
hassle of additional equipment and set up.
How do I schedule a video playback?
- Schedule in advance of the event--before 2:30 PM on the day before
the event.
Requests
made after 2:30 PM on the day before the event may not be fulfilled
due to scheduling requirements and limited availability
of resources.
- Call (231) 995-1070 to
schedule.
- Indicate
the
program title and catalog # if known
- The
room number/location to receive the playback
- The date and time you want the program to start.
- At the scheduled
time:
- Call 5-1571 from the classroom telephone (normally located
near the video display in the room).
- Give your name and title of the
media.
- The attendant will tell you what channel to turn the television
to and make any adjustments as necessary.
- Your program will
start immediately

May I use my own media?
- Yes. Drop it off at the Educational Media Technologies Office,
134 Osterlin Building, prior to your scheduled viewing time.
- Please advise
Educational
Media Technologies prior to scheduling your playback
what format your media is in (e.g. DVD, VHS, SVHS).
- Be sure your
name, academic area and phone number are on the media
dropped off so that it may be easily located when you come to pick
it up.

that Educational
Media Technologies will adhere to the Federal Copyright
Law. If you have a question about the legality of the program you
wish to use,
please check out our information on copyright below
