Purchasing New Media Titles   
Educational Media Technologies strives to keep the media collection current and relies on faculty input for purchasing of new media titles. If you are looking for media on a specific topic or a certain title the Educational Media Technologies Office Manager at 995-1075 may be able to help you find what you are looking for.

• How do I request media purchases?
  • If possible, media should be previewed prior to purchase. Check any ordering information you may have for previewing availability. Contact the Educational Media Technologies Office Manager to order previews.
    
  • Send your preview/purchase request in writing or e-mail. Include all pertinent information, including ordering information, to the Educational Media Technologies Office Manager

Renting Media  
In the past there were many distributors and large universities who offered media for rental. As film changed to video, then to DVD and beyond, it caused cheaper purchase prices and became no longer profitable to maintain these rental sources. Most companies no longer offer media for rental.

Media may be available for preview prior to purchase. See above for preview/purchase information.

Rental services EMT still offer are:

• EMT has an account with Family Video and we will pick up and return video store rentals requested for classroom use as long as it falls under Fair Use guidelines.
  
• We can also rent feature films to be used for public performances (the showing of media to an audience in a non-classroom setting, with or without admission charges). This type of showing requires different pricing and copyright regulations.
