Video & Audio Services:
Video Programming

Video Production

Faculty and staff interested in video production services should contact the Educational Media Technologies Director at 995-1076. Most video production is project-based and is taken in depending upon needs and resource availability. We can assist faculty in creating instructional video and audio materials for tape, CD, DVD, or the Internet (streaming media).

NMC-13 (Charter Cable Channel 13)

NMC 13, channel 13 on Charter Communications Cable Television, is viewed throughout our five-county service area, and more. Educational Media Technologies schedules programming for the channel that consists of telecourses, NMC bulletin board announcements, and other programs such as the Annenberg/CPB Channel, an educational programming network. We do not accept commercial advertisements as programming for NMC 13.

  • How do we schedule programming over NMC 13?
    • Telecourses:
Contact the FLO HelpDesk at 995-1965. An advance notice of one semester is needed for scheduling purposes.
    • Other Programs or Videos:
Contact the Technical Coordinator at 995-1078. The program will be reviewed for acceptability before scheduled for broadcast over NMC 13. Four weeks advance notice is needed for scheduling purposes.

Campus Bulletin Monitor System

Educational Media Technologies maintains and operates an electronic bulletin board system distributed by a cable television network to all of NMC's facilities. The programming is also placed over NMC 13 at different periods throughout the day. It is used for displaying campus activity announcements, facility operation hours, class cancellations, etc.

  • How do I place an announcement on the system?
    • Send a hard copy in campus mail to the EMT Office or e-mail an electronic version of the event information (a brochure; event flyer; or the who, what and where of the event announcement) to Bob Chauvin, Technical Coordinator for Educational Media Technologies.
    • Whenever possible allow 5 business for us to get your announcement posted on the system. If it is time-sensitive (less than 5 business days before the start date of the announcement), hand delivery the information on hard copy to the EMT Office, 134 Osterlin. Although we cannot guarantee that your deadline can be met in such instances, we will do our best to try.
    • Make sure to include the stop and start date for your announcement.
    • Class cancellations must be received by email by sending them to the GroupWise Group: "Class Cancellations."
