NMC
Nursing Online Option
General
Information
NMC admits students to an online version of its traditional nursing curriculum each fall semester. This option is intended for full-time ADN students. It provides all of the nursing theory or academic classes available in an online format. It will still require attendance in person for the lab and clinical courses. The labs and clinicals are generally scheduled in the Traverse City area and will require 2-3 days per week of attendance.
Once a student begins the online option, the college will assure that the online courses will be available until he/she completes the program as long as he/she continues to follow the model schedule for full time.
If a student needs to vary from the full time plan or gets out of sequence for any reason, he/she will need to move into the traditional program. If students are already in the part time program, interested in only certain courses online, or in the PN program and wish to take online courses, they can request to be placed on a waiting list for space in online classes. Any space not used by full time students will be filled from these waiting lists. Please call the Health Occupations office manager at (231) 995-1235 to request to be placed on a waiting list.
