Dennos Museum Center
Future gifts benefit the Dennos Museum Center.
Charles and Dolores Kelly (also known as Chuck and Dee) are devoted to the strength and vigor of the Grand Traverse community. Philanthropists in the true sense of the word, they believe in giving back to the community. Their dedication is demonstrated through their on-going support of Northwestern Michigan College. Visitors to the Dennos Museum Center may have shopped in the Charles and Dolores Kelly Museum Store, named in their honor. In addition to their generous support of the museum, Chuck and Dee have established a planned gift to the NMC Foundation and are members of the Biederman Society.
"True Blue" graduates of the University of Michigan, the Kelly's support NMC because, "NMC offers a variety of excellent educational opportunities for people in Northern Michigan. It is close to students' homes and becomes more affordable as a result. We agree with its philosophy of education."
They have been a part of the NMC community since the 1960s. Chuck has been a student, a dental instructor and has employed several former dental students in his practice. Under former NMC president Tim Quinn, Chuck also served on the committee that led to the creation of the University Center. Dee has graciously spent many years serving as a docent for the Dennos Museum Center.
Chuck and Dee Kelly have their home on the Old Mission Peninsula's East Bay where they have lived for 45 years - the same home where they raised their seven children and now delight in sharing stories of their 22 grandchildren. |
