About NMC Foundation

The Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) Foundation was founded in 1981 as a 501 (c)(3) non profit corporation. Its purpose is to support the mission of NMC through financial support that enhances the learning experience at NMC resulting in benefits for the students and communities we serve. Donors-individuals, businesses and foundations-make contributions to the NMC Foundation in support of:

• Excellence — Financial support ensures the variety and quality of educational and cultural programs and services for all learners.
• Scholarships — Scholarships are made available to learners of all ages and circumstances based upon financial need and in recognition of academic excellence.
• Capital Projects — These contributions help NMC to build or renovate facilities, purchase instructional equipment and enhance College grounds.
• Faculty/Staff Enrichment — Financial support enhances professional development activities for faculty and staff to help them become ever more effective educators and leaders.
