Change Rooms:

Space permitted, changing rooms may be accommodated. There is a two week hold on room changes at the start of Fall and Spring semesters. Students who wish to change rooms will be expected to assist in the process of finding a new roommate. For more information about changing rooms, please contact Jennifer Metcalf (231) 995-1401 in the Housing Office.

Laundry:

Laundry rooms are available on the first floor in both North and South wings in East Hall. Washers cost $0.75 per load and dryers cost $0.75 per load. Our laundry machines work on a declining balance card system and money can be added at any time. Our laundry card fund-replenishing machine is located in the East Hall lobby right next to the East Hall Front Desk area. Each student will be issued a laundry card at the beginning of the semester. All cards will need to be turned in to your Resident Assistant before check out. The replacement cost for a lost card is $5.00. For laundry card replacements, please contact Alice Sluss in the Housing Office (231) 995-1409.

Report a Maintenance Concerns:

Students can report maintenance concerns directly to our Housing Office located in the lobby of East Hall. There is a maintenance repair log located at the Front Desk for students to report concerns after the Housing Office has closed. Safety and security work orders are prioritized, so minor repairs may take longer to be repaired. If you are experiencing a loss of power, heat or water, please contact your Resident Assistant immediately.

Store Residence Hall Furniture:

All furniture (including mattresses and chairs) must stay in the Residence Hall room. College furniture is not allowed to leave the Residence Halls. Due to space constraints, we are unable to store any Residence Hall room furniture
