Faculty Career Plan Committee
Type of Committee:
Standing
Purpose:
To study and recommend the annual salary increases for faculty and review
the plan every three years to determine the necessity of plan review and
revision, as outlined in Staff Policy
1408.00.
Membership:
Chair, Executive Director of Human Resources, Vice President for Educational Services, plus 4-5 faculty representatives appointed annually by Faculty Council
Reporting relationship:
The committee reports its recommendations to the faculty and theTotal
Compensation Committee through the Executive Director of Human Resources or designee.
Responsibilities:
- Collect data and calculate annual faculty salary increase according to the method identified in the Career Plan.
- Using the mutual gains process, review the career plan structure every three years and review salary equity annually.
- Prepare a joint recommendation to the faculty and President regarding the career plan increase and/or changes for the coming contract year.
Timeline:
Annual process begins in September with the Human Resource Department gathering the data, followed by shared data computation in October. Recommendations are to be complete by November for consideration. Periodic review process begins no later than September.
