Employee Recognition Committee
Type Of Committee:
Standing
Purpose:
To recognize achievements or accomplishments that contribute to the overall Mission, Vision, and Values of Northwestern Michigan College through well-defined, authorized recognition programs.
Membership:
Assistant-Human Resources, chair; at least one member from all employee groups,
plus an executive staff representative. They serve two fiscal-year terms,
which may be renewed. The members are nominated by their respective staff
councils and approved by the Executive Director of Human Resources.
Reporting Relationship:
The committee reports its recommendations to the President through the Executive Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities:
NMC will have programs to honor:
- Employees who reach designated years of service
- Employees who retire from College service
- Accomplishments or achievements, either individually or by teams, considered especially valuable by their peers.
The Committee will be charged with directing and implementing the Employee Recognition Programs.
Communication Strategy:
Employee recognition programs will be announced through email, NMC's website, and other college communication vehicles as appropriate.
Timeline:
The Committee meets regularly to plan and implement employee recognition programs and to select recipients of awards when designated by specific program guidelines.
