Resources for academic success abound at NMC. Here are just a few to keep in mind as you begin the semester.

YOUR INSTRUCTORS

LIBRARY

The Osterlin Library has a brand new website, with tons of online resources, including live "Research Help Now" chat: www.nmc.edu/library

The library staff also can help with passwords, and direct you to other college services.

Plus, you can check your e-mail -- even have lunch!

WRITING CENTER

NMC's Writing Center offers peer assistance with all types of writing at all stages of the writing process. You'll receive help with invention, drafting, revision, citation, editing and structure.

Contact them for an appointment: (231) 995-1189, writingcenter@nmc.edu, or just stop on by Scholars Hall 221 (main campus). They're open Monday through Friday.

NEW: Aero Park Campus Writing Center location, M-TEC Building 206. Hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

SUPPORT SERVICES

The NMC Office of Support Services ensures equal access to education so that students with documented disabilities can freely and actively participate in college learning. MATH TUTORING LAB

This great resource, in LB 34, will open in three or four weeks. It is staffed by full-time faculty who spend one of their office hours assisting students who drop in for math help. Hours will be determined soon based on faculty availability. Watch the campus television monitors for updates.
