Directions to NMC From Within Michigan

From the South

Take US-131 North through Manton.
Take M-113 west toward Kingsley.
Turn right (north) at the blinker light in Kingsley.
Take Garfield Rd. north to Traverse City (approximately 15 miles).
Turn right at the corner of Front St. and Garfield Rd. (There is a Burger King on the left, and Barden's Ice Cream on the corner to the right.)
Be prepared to turn left at the first traffic light into our main entrance, and follow the signs to the Welcome Center!

From the North

Take US-31 south to Traverse City.
Landmarks you will see as you enter Traverse City:

• Traverse City State Park (campground on your left; beach on your right)
• Tom's East Bay Plaza (left-hand side)
• Munson Community Medical Center
• Mabel's Restaurant

The entrance to the campus is just past the Best Western Motel
Turn right in to the main entrance, and follow the signs to the Welcome Center!

From the East or Southeast

Take I-75 north to Grayling.
Take M-72 west through Kalkaska to Acme (approximately 25 miles).
Turn left (south) at the light in Acme. NMC is approximately 7 miles from the light.
Landmarks you will see as you enter Traverse City:

• Traverse City State Park (campground on your left; beach on your right)
• Tom's East Bay Plaza (left-hand side)
• Munson Community Medical Center
• Mabel's Restaurant
