An increasing number of incoming students are not academically prepared to take and be successful in college level courses. The ultimate goal of this action project is to assure that academically under prepared students are as likely to achieve their educational goal as their college-ready peers. Academic Program Review

Taking Action: September 2008 - July 2009

This project will improve our efficiency as it relates to program review; address the changing accountability requirements by external agencies (Perkins indicators); and will insure that the revised process leads to the improvement of student learning. Organizational processes to change or improve include: program review, annual budgeting, data collection and dissemination, and curriculum design and revision. Decision Making

Taking Action: February 2008 - January 2009

NMC will design a process that clarifies and improves the decision making process for initiating, revising or ending services and programs for all NMC's learning groups. The results will include a diagram of the process, clarification of roles and responsibilities, and use of the Plan-Do-Check-Adjust cycle to improve the process. The process will be vetted against the adopted values contained within the strategic plan. Institutional Effectiveness Criterion: Operations. Decision Making News
