NMC fosters a work environment that reflects the college's values and leads to an effective work culture. NMC is committed to the development of the talents and continuous learning of all its faculty, staff, and administrators.

Outcome #1: Decisions demonstrate innovation, agility and thoughtful risk-taking.

  • Employee perception about how NMC has processes to ensure it is innovative and agile (Constellation 2005)
  • Debrief college decisions using these values (e.g., via appreciative inquiry)
  • Length of time for routine processes

Outcome #2: Actions are governed by ethics, integrity and personal responsibility, exhibited through transparency, openness and trust.

  • Community agreement that NMC provides information openly to the public
  • Employee perception of how NMC trusts faculty and staff to do their work effectively.
  • NMC’s employees demonstrate evidence of these values in the performance reviews.

Outcome #3: NMC values all people.

  • Employee opinion about how well NMC makes certain that faculty and staff get the training and professional development their work requires
  • How much does NMC invest in its employees through professional development – what % of the workforce, how much $, etc.
  • Employee retention, grievance and harassment data
  • Investment in employee wellness and health – Wellness activity participation, employee benefit plan
  • Participation in employee performance management

Outcome #4: NMC exhibits foresight.

  • Employee perception of whether NMC has effective processes to determine whether new groups should be served by its programs and services
