Faculty and Staff Surveys

The most recent survey was conducted in October 2006 of NMC Adjunct Faculty members in support of the Investing in Adjuncts AQIP Action Project. To gauge adjunct faculty satisfaction and needs. To be used by Educational Services and action project team.
Graduate Follow-Up Survey The Graduate Follow-Up Survey is administered annually around December to students that graduated with a degree in the previous year. Besides helping to measure Institutional Effectiveness, results from the Graduate Follow-Up Survey are used in State and Federal reporting, as well as in the Program Review of Occupational Education Used by Institutional Research for state and federal data reporting. Also, used for continuous improvement of NMC academics and services.
Learner Group 1 The Learner Group 1 survey is administered at least annually to currently enrolled academic students. The purpose of the survey is to identify scheduling and delivery format preferences. Used by Educational Services and academic areas to make course scheduling and delivery decisions.
Non-Enrolling Applicant Survey The Non-Enrolling Applicant Survey is administered bi-annually to prospective students who applied, but chose not to attend NMC, during the fall semester. The results are used to make adjustments in programmatic and student services areas which may affect these students. Used by Student Services and other units to make adjustments for continuous improvement.
Non-Returning Student Survey The Non-Returning Student Survey is administered bi-annually to students who may have been enrolled at NMC but for whatever reason did not re-enroll. In most cases, the "leavers" report that the reason they left was because they'd accomplished their eduational goal. Used by Student Services and other units to understand why students may not have returned for purposes of continuous improvement.
Service Effectiveness Survey The Service Effectiveness Survey is administered to currently enrolled academic students. These students are taking classes for credit at NMC. The survey asks students to rate the importance of a series of service statements and then to rate their level of satisfaction that NMC is meeting that service expectation. A gap analysis between importance and satisfaction identifies market opportunities and retention priorities. Used by all college units to measure self-assessment outcomes, to gauge student satisfaction with services and to prioritize continuous improvement efforts.
Transfer Student Survey The Transfer Student Survey is administered bi-annually to students who may have been enrolled at NMC in the spring semester and then transferred credit to a four-year college or university in the fall. Used by Educational Services and Student Services to assess performance of services related to NMC's transfer students.
