Osterlin Library Staff

Maggie Bacon -- Library Director, 995-1063. Primary responsibilities: Library Director, Reference and Access Services. Liaison and Collection Development responsibilities: Aviation, Humanities, Science and Math, Maritime. Quiet and unassuming (!?), and always asking questions!

Mary Beeker -- Library Paraprofessional, 995-1015. Primary Responsibilities: Reference, library instruction, serials purchasing, electronic resources, and library website coordination. Contact Mary if you like the dishy new image (Marc Chagall's Acrobat) she has from the CAMIO image database and want to know more about the database.

 

Lynn Freeland -- Technical Services Assistant, 995-1682. Primary responsibilities: Cataloging, book ordering (a.k.a Acquistions) and processing. Lynn tries desperately to maintain the integrity of the library's systems despite what the rest of us do to it. Lynn also keeps our IT system backed up and running throughout the year - an invaluable member of the staff.

 

Rochelle Hammontree -- Library Services Paraprofessional, 995-1064. Primary responsibilities: Circulation Desk, Reserves, and Interlibrary Loan. Rochelle is faster than a speeding bullet (she gets lots of practice walking from the service desk to her office!) and certainly strong enough to bend steel with her bare hands!

 

Charla Kramer -- Librarian, 995-1973. Primary responsibilities: Research/Library Instruction, Reference Services, and exploring new service options. Liaison and Collection development responsibilities: Communications and Technical Division. Versatile and deft, she can nail Jello to the wall.

 

Ann Swaney -- Government Documents Librarian, 995-1065. Primary responsibilities: Government Documents and Collection Development and Archives with specific liaison responsibilities for Business, Physical Education, Social Science, Health Occupations.

 

Other NMC staff supporting library operations:

Dave Dalquist -- NMC Web Services (& some Library support), 995-1062. Primary responsibilities: Dave's moved (we won't say "graduated") from Librarian to NMC Webmeister. Dave supports the library IT system, and maintains a generous supply of Nerf balls. When it's windy, he acts sick to get out of work and go windsurfing.

Craig Mulder -- Executive Director of Learning Resources & Technologies, (231) 995-1061. Oversees Educational Media Technologies, Information Technology, Institutional Research, Systems and LAN Management and Library Services.
