Federal
(U.S.) Documents 
Federal Government Documents are found with books
in Osterlin Library Online Catalog (WebCat),
but are shelved in their own location in the library, according to the Superintendent
of Documents Classification Scheme. Many of the more recent documents
can be accessed online through a link on the catalog records. Some specific
types of Federal information can be found as follows:
- Census information --
Link to the official U.S. Census Bureau site. Osterlin Library has in
paper format Federal Census data from the 1970's to the 2000's, along
with local census on microfilm from 1860 to 1930 (1890 unavailable).
- Maps -- Osterlin Library's Map Cases
house Great Lakes Navigational Charts and Michigan Topographic Maps,
along with United States, Country, and world political maps.
- Statistics -- Link to a list
of sources in the library for finding statistics on various subjects,
as well as some links to online sources.
- Tax Forms and instructions
-- The Official Internal Revenue Service site. Reproducible IRS forms
& instructions are also available at the library throughout the
year.
