Michigan Government Documents

The Osterlin Library Michigan Documents Collection contains laws, reports, and statistics from the Governor's Office and various Michigan State Agencies; as well as specific reports concerning the Grand Traverse Region. Many of these documents can be found through a search of the Osterlin Library Online Catalog (WebCat).

• Grand Traverse Region -- data for 10 area counties from the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments.
• Michigan Compiled Laws Annotated. Osterlin Library Law Collection.

• Michigan Manual -- The "red book" and Official Handbook for the State, came online in 2000. The library maintains older editions in storage.
• State of Michigan Website -- the official portal to Michigan governmental agencies, from business services to travel information.
• Census and Statistical Data for Michigan -- For state & county demographic (census) information. Osterlin Library is an affiliate member of the Michigan State Data Center Program, and through them receives timely demographics and population projections. Most of these are available at the Government Documents Reference station, or ask a librarian.
• Climate and Weather Data for Michigan Weather Stations from NOAA. For historical information, contact librarian for subscription login (library use only).
• Election Information: polling places, contact election official, find ballot proposals.
