How do I find a Government Document on the Shelf?
Federal Documents are arranged by Government Agency, according to Superintendent of Documents Classification Scheme. Federal Documents have their own classification (SuDoc) number which is found at the left of the title in the Osterlin Library Online Catalog (WebCat). The location code at the right of the catalog record describes the current location of the document (see table below). Most Michigan Documents are not listed in WebCat but are arranged by Library of Congress number in the Michigan Documents Collection.
