NMC schedules forums on Latin American issues
TRAVERSE CITY, MI – Northwestern Michigan College’s Safe Passage program will host a series of free public forums on Latin American issues throughout the winter and early spring.
All forums will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sundays at the NMC University Center, room 209. Safe Passage is a non-profit organization helping children of families working at the Guatemala City dump. The series is preparation for NMC students and faculty planning a trip to Guatemala in May and the public is invited as well. Speakers will include NMC faculty, past Safe Passage trip participants and community members with expertise in the relevant subject areas. The schedule is as follows:
- January 27: History and Geography of Latin America
