Check out NMC at campus tours every FridayTRAVERSE CITY – Northwestern Michigan College invites prospective students and their parents to find out more about the college at main campus tours and information presentations, offered every Friday at 11 a.m. Guests are invited to meet at the NMC Welcome Center, located in the lobby of the Health & Science Building on main campus. An NMC admissions specialist will give a presentation about the college, covering general information and FAQs about admissions and financial aid. The atmosphere is casual and questions/discussion are encouraged. Following the presentation, families tour campus with a student ambassador. Families should allow about two hours for the entire process. Park in the Cedar lot for closest access to the Welcome Center. Reservations are encouraged but not required. Call 231-995-2400. NMC offers more than 60 programs of study to 4,000 students who pursue transfer education, associate degrees and occupational certificates. Classes are held on four campuses in Traverse City. The NMC University Center offers bachelor’s completion and advanced degrees in partnership with 10 other Michigan colleges and universities. In addition, NMC serves thousands more learners annually through its Dennos Museum Center, Extended Educational Services (non-credit) division, Training and Research professional development division, Rogers Observatory and radio station WNMC, 90.7 FM.
