Real Estate Appraisal course offeredTRAVERSE CITY, MI – Extended Educational Services of Northwestern Michigan College has scheduled two of three required courses for entry into the field of Real Estate Appraisal. The first course, "Fundamentals of Real Estate Appraisal" covers licensing regulations, economic principles of value, legal considerations, introduction to market analysis, real estate finance, the valuation process, site evaluation, property descriptions, deed restrictions, zoning, and much more. The cost for this course is $249 and it will run Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 6-10 p.m., from April 14 to May 1. The second course, "Real Estate Appraisal II" follows the Fundamentals course and runs from May 5 through May 22, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 6-10 p.m. The cost of this course is $205. The combined courses will satisfy 60 of the required 75 hours required to become a Limited Licensed Appraiser in the State of Michigan. The final required 15-hour "Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice" (USPAP) will be scheduled for later this summer.
