Energy efficiency workshops offered

TRAVERSE CITY — Learn ways to save energy and money with workshops on energy efficiency and renewable energy at Northwestern Michigan College's Energy Demonstration Center in May. These workshops are open to the public at the full price, and Traverse City Light and Power customers receive a $35 discount on each one.

The one-day learning opportunities include: “Discover Solar Power: Hands-on Seminar”, Saturday, May 10, 1-4 p.m., for $49; “Bio-Diesel:  A Home Grown Fuel with Great Potential”, Monday, May 5, 6-9 p.m., for $49; “Introduction to Geothermal Heating and Cooling”, Wednesday, May 7, 6-9 p.m., for $35; and “Why Energy Star? Quality, Comfort and Energy Efficiency”, Wednesday, May 28, 6-8:30 p.m., for $39.
