13 New Cooking Classes this Fall at NMCTRAVERSE CITY - Blend a spacious, well-stocked kitchen, tasty ingredients, and local chefs with eager foodies, and you have a cornucopia of cooking classes for the public this fall at Northwestern Michigan College. Thirteen new classes bring Caribbean cooking, spa cuisine, curries and flatbreads, holiday tarts and pies, and Thanksgiving fare with a twist to your table. With 38 classes in total to choose from, there is something for every taste. Some of the popular returning courses feature spring rolls, stuffed pasta, wine tasting, chocolate making, knife skills, pad thai, and cake decorating. One-day and three-day options are offered each week, mid-September through early December. Costs vary, but most classes are priced at $59 to $69. All include plenty of tasting.
