Learning Opportunities Revised 4/17/08

NMC Catalog

NMC encourages people to use the online resources available through the "Learning Opportunities" menus, as they will contain the most up-to-date course descriptions and schedules.

NMC produces both print and online versions of the catalog:

  • PrintPublished every two years. The print version may be picked up at NMC's Welcome Center or at the Admissions Office, or you may contact the Welcome Center and request that a catalog be sent to you.
  • OnlineRevised annually. The online version is a complete rewrite of the bi-annual print version. The most recent version will be a new student's "catalog of record" as described in the NMC policy displayed at the bottom of this page.

All catalog files below are in Adobe Acrobat format:[.pdf]

NMC Staff Policy D-104.01: Catalog of Record

When students enroll for academic credit at NMC, their graduation requirements are governed by the catalog in effect at the time of their enrollment. This changes:

  1. If a student is not enrolled for three or more consecutive semesters (excluding summer).
  2. If the catalog is revised (print or web) and a student wishes to follow the newer catalog.
  3. If a student changes his/her program of study, the student would be governed by the catalog in effect when the change is made.

When a student does not enroll for more than two consecutive semesters (excluding summer), the student will be governed by the catalog in effect when he or she re-enrolls.

The Vice President for Educational Services, in conjunction with the appropriate faculty and staff, is responsible for the development and publication of any procedures or guidelines that may be necessary to administer this policy effectively.
